About the Library/Media Specialist

Linda Eschen is your Library/Media Specialist.  I have been working in the library since the library opened 6 years ago.  All students can come in and visit me before and after school and each  elementary student will be coming in with their class weekly to check out books.  Middle school students visit the library every week or every other week with their Language Arts teacher.

I am looking forward to another exciting year at LVCS.  Please stop by and visit me in the library !!

Objectives of the Library

The objectives of LVCS Library Media Center are to assist students in the development of skills needed for independednt lifelong learning.  This will be done by providing them with the resources needed for research and information to empower their learning, as well as providing them with opportunities to discover the joy of reading.  We will open up their world with a wide variety of books and the use of the Internet.

The Library is open 7:30 and closes at 3:30 for students to check in/out books and take AR quizes on our 5 available computers.

Renaissance Quiz Finder Site

This is the site where you can check a book title or author for a quiz.

Renaissance Home Connect

At home students are able to go to Renaissance Home Connect and do Math Facts In a Flash.  Parents are able to create a parent login and then set up to receive e-mail reports on their child/children's progress.  At this site you are able to see which books have already been read and also check to see if a book has a quiz available.

Please Visit our Student Wishlist page!!!!!

Please visit the Student Wishlist page for all the books that our library does not have, or does not have enough copies of!!!!  The library can always use new and even some of the older series books.  If you wish to donate books to the library, we always will take them from you.  Anything that is not used in our library will be placed in the teacher's lunch room and are made available for everyone.

Thank you.
